Scholarship Tips III

How to Win a Scholarship Application
To win a scholarship application you need a true strategy. The students that win the most scholarships may not have more positive qualities than you, but they use the following strategy to get noticed by the scholarship committees:

Get Prepared:
Get letters of recommendation from teachers or guidance counselor or leaders in your community. Choose these wisely (make copies).

Get a copy of your high school or college transcript (make copies).

Get involved in your community or in school activities or in your church. If your time is limited due to personal circumstances, working to help with family expenses is also an advantage.

Start writing an essay about your goals and what you have done to date to achieve them. Think about what makes you unique.

Get a picture of yourself. A school picture is perfect. Anything smaller than a wallet size head shot, will do.

Buy some clear plastic binders.

The goal here is to have numerous packages made up ahead of time, ready to submit to the various scholarship committees.
The package will include:

* a clear plastic binder and within the package
* the scholarship application ( you will have to insert this later when you have received each individual application)
* followed by an essay that gets you noticed
* followed by your transcript (some scholarships do not require this, but if it’s impressive, send it)
* followed by letters of recommendation and then
* place you picture in the front inside cover(on top of the application) in the lower left hand corner (this is not a requirement, but it helps to put a face to the person, for the scholarship committee deciding who receives the awards)
Get Organized:
Begin researching scholarships that match your criteria. Consider using a scholarship search service, like our service - infoBeasiswa.net

Once you have the scholarships for which you want to apply, keep track of the deadlines.

Create a chart to keep on top of all dates.

The chart should include:

* Scholarship name and phone number
* Date application must be received by scholarship committee
* Date you requested the application
* Date you received the application
* Date application with above package was mailed
* Date you called the Scholarship Agency to verify they received your application package

Get Noticed:

As important as being prepared and organized, it is equally important that you have an essay that gets you noticed.

Even if you feel you master the english language, your essay should be critique by someone who has experience in essay writing.

Ask an english professor to review your essay or consider using an essay editing service.

Get Prepared, Get Organized, Get Noticed, Be Persistent and Don’t Give Up!

Scholarship Tips II

How to Apply Scholarship
EDUCATION is invesment. Expensive of expense of education can be overcome with looking for source of fund like from scholarship. To submit the application of scholarship there are some tips which must be known:

Do your research. Take the time to look for various scholarships and their requirements and deadlines. Many applicant reviewers are looking for students who are more than their résumé – they want to help real people who are interested in furthering their education.

Scholarship Tips I

Free College Scholarships Essays - 3 Reasons You Have to Write
Writing a college scholarship essays may seem useless - until you understand why the scholarship committee needs them. This article will help you reduce stress and see the wider picture.

Why scholarships to write an essay? Scholarships require essays on three simple reasons. As you can see below, the reason is quite simple:

1. Your literacy. Scholarship committee wants to award money to someone literate and educated - to a point. There is no need to be able to write like Jane Austen or Earnest Hemingway to get a scholarship. But writing essays shows solid you can communicate and use more education.

2. Their values. You will write what you think and what you believe, for the most part. You essays will be on your values, and the scholarship committee will see those. For individual awards, the value can be important. Scholarships may be an effort to continue the trip or reward certain ideas. If aligned with the mission, you stand a better chance to get a scholarship.

3. Your Character. You express your personality in your essays, as well as some of the show itself. When you receive private scholarships, your name is always on their list of recipients. To convey a good reputation, you will give them some confidence that you represent them well in the future. For example, you can call Rhodes Scholar?

Showing at the scholarship committee that you are in your college scholarship essays, and by that I mean you have the best hand, the committee can get a sense of what you will do in life and if they will help you to a good end, a worthy goal.

A few other pointers: You want your essays come good. Look essay samples to familiarize themselves with the winner of an essay. With others, such as teachers, and friends, check your essay to catch errors in grammar, spelling, word use, and style.

Last and most important: “Apply”. No one will criticize you for the application of more scholarships. Take a few minutes to assess if you qualify, and, if so, go ahead and apply. Some need to have that scholarship, and get money for college, why not you?

The admissions application provides the supporting documentation necessary to evaluate a scholarship application.

Complete the scholarship application electronically. The scholarship application itself is on a secure server. You must press “yes” if your browser asks you if you wish to display secure items, otherwise Marywood University will not receive any of the information you type on the application upon submission.

If you declare part-time status on your scholarship application, The Committee on Graduate Scholarships expects part-time status students who are scholarship recipients to enroll in and maintain at least six credits in the fall semester and at least six credits in the spring semester. Part-time status scholarship recipients who fail to meet this requirement in a semester will have their scholarships rescinded for that semester.

Marywood University undergraduate students who are enrolled in formal five-year programs are automatically eligible for at least forty percent of their undergraduate merit award or higher for their fifth year of study at the graduate level provided they are admitted to the master’s level by their academic department.

provides scholarships for prospective applicants from AUN-SEED/Net Member Institutions to
pursue doctoral degrees in engineering at one of the following Japanese Supporting Universities:
Hokkaido University, Keio University, Kyoto University, Kyushu University, Tokai University,
Tokyo Institute of Technology, Toyohashi University of Technology, University of Tokyo,

Under the above 9 fundamental engineering fields, applicants, if interested, may also propose
any research topic(s) related to the new five (5) interdisciplinary areas (Biotechnology,

Energy).

Although studying outside ASEAN countries, students under the Doctoral Degree Program in
Japan are encouraged to participate in AUN/SEED-Net’s network activities (e.g.

maintain, and deepen the linkage with Member Institutions (student’s sending institution and/or
student’s hosting institution when pursued master’s degree).

Sending Institutions could submit the collection of application forms more than once towards
the Deadline.

the contact person of their respective Sending Institution to submit an endorsement letter to
AUN/SEED-Net.)
(3) The AUN/SEED-Net Project will check all required documents and request missing
documents from applicants through Sending Institutions, if necessary.
(4) The AUN/SEED-Net Project will conduct initial screening and send the results to applicants’
sending institutions. At the same time, the AUN/SEED-Net Project will consult with
concerned Japanese Supporting Universities for possibility of accepting the applicant in the
event that the applicant is awarded a scholarship and passes the entrance examination.
*Applicants are encouraged to contact by themselves a prospective advisor of your
preference at a Japanese Supporting University for consent on acceptance in the event the
applicant is awarded a scholarship and passes the entrance examination. It will be an
advantage in the screening process if the applicant can obtain and enclose such consent letter
(or copy of e-mail communication) from a prospective advisor in this application as it can
fasten the screening process.
(5) After the communication with Japanese Supporting Universities, the AUN/SEED-Net
Project prioritizes the applicants and sends the result to JICA Headquarters. JICA
Headquarters then make the decision on the selection of the successful applicants by April
2009.
(6) The AUN/SEED-Net Project informs the results to the Member Institutions to which the
applicants belong in April 2009, and provides the scholarship awardees with the respective
Japanese Supporting Universities’ Application Forms.
(7) The process after sending the Japanese Supporting Universities’ Application Forms may be
different from country to country. AUN/SEED-Net, in cooperation with the JICA Local
Office in the respective countries, will advise the scholarship awardees on the necessary
procedures.
